Experience:  I grew up in the city of Lima, Peru where I played soccer during my junior and high school years.  Then I came to the USA to continue my education receiving an AAS in Computer Technician/Repair from La Guardia Community College and a BA in Telecommunications from New York City College of Technology where I played Division II for 4 years.  My love of watching and playing soccer has made me passionate about coaching kids age-appropriately so they develop a wide range of skills to enjoy playing this great game. I spent 2 years coaching at Linden Recreational and Travel programs in New Jersey and the last 5 years at DUSC/GGFC in New York, working as Head coach of the U10 and U11 girls travel teams.

Coaching philosophy:  As a soccer coach I am always looking for new ways to more effectively teach all aspects of this great game. I believe that at young ages the main focus should be on developing foot-skills and good fundamental technique, while having fun. Every practice should include some fun, competitive games where the kids learn good soccer technique and develop good habits while simply playing games. I believe that player development is much more important than winning at young ages.
