City Soccer Intiative Program Joins Forces with US Soccer Foundation and Urban Soccer Collaborative Programs
GGFC and its brother club DUSC support a unique urban soccer outreach program known as CSI. CSI, Central Soccer Intiative, place professional soccer coaches in at risk schools who have suffered such extreme budget cuts that the school’s physical education programs get scaled back to an almost non-existent level. The soccer programs we put in place at the schools provides the kids with the highest level of coaching and a spirit and love of the game that is infectious for the kids.
The US Soccer Foundation and the Urban Soccer Collaborative are teaming up with clubs like DUSC and GGFC who support programs like this to bring professional soccer training to kids who would not otherwise have an opportunity to play. We are very proud of the CSI program and would like to continue to build a foundation of support among the GGFC and DUSC families to keep the outreach program alive and well. GGFC and DUSC believe in supporting all efforts to gain a more diverse population of competitive soccer players in the major metropolitan areas of New York City.
